About

Mission:

I like to make things move. I am enthusiastic about the art of story-telling combined with a drive to help business succeed.
I believe a companies communication objective should drive design and message delivery. I enjoy solving problems.

I get most excited when creating enhanced reality and visual magic as well as being challenged to be creative.

Education:

I have a degree in Audio Engineering from the school formally known as Music Tech, as well as some music production credits.

I was a student at Minneapolis Community College, from 2007-2011. I completed the Web Design/Animation course as well as the Media Production course with a focus on design, animation and motion graphics.

Additionally, I am constantly honing my skills through video tutorials and experimenting and am now focusing on how to teach others.

If you would like to see my academic record, you can here: Brad’s Academic Record.

“Managing a creative team requires understanding a lot of different disciplines, one of which is how technology and software continue to evolve. My team got a lot out of training with Brad. He found a way to quickly give them the basic understanding of some pretty complex software to get what they needed done, but also gave them a “self-guided” tour that has allowed my team to explore the depths of the software in their own work environment. Brad is smart, personable and really yearns to understand what it is you are trying to achieve.”  April 17, 2012

“Brad basically led the effort on a pro-bono, last minute request to pull together the audio/visual aspects of Boston Scientific Corporation’s Hearts for Fashion Show which was held to engender awareness and support for the American Heart Association’s Go Red for Women Initative at the Mall of America in February 2010. Brad confidently assumed the lead on the project under the overall direction of Instructor Gregg Kubera. Brad demonstrated enthusiasm, flexibility, conceptual application skill, and genuine passion for the work. He was easy to talk to, confident about his ability to create a product that would meet the needs of our company, and willing to work through any item that needed tweaking particular to meeting our company’s requests for particular graphics and verbiage. Brad also made sure the DVD post-production work was done well from start to finish. I think any customer would find a thoughtful, creative project leader and competent professional in their experience of working with Brad.” April 2, 2010

“Working as an intern to Amalgam, Brad produced a 60-second video promo for a new online professional network. I chose Brad for the project because he has an impressive sense of narrative — his grasp of the opportunities and limitations of special affects should serve him well in a career in digital animation. Brad also showed a talent for accommodating the herky-jerk, push-pull of the production process. Animation is a second career for Brad, and I certainly appreciated his maturity and sense of customer service when the project inevitably put artistic ambition, time commitment and client prerogative all in tension. In the end Brad delivered a successful product and showed me he’s well equipped for both the artistic and delivery sides of the work.” November 23, 2009

“Brad has consistently demonstrated the motivation and mastery necessary to excel in the field of motion graphics, whether CGI, compositing, or traditional video production. His background in music helps with his understanding of pacing and computer software. His deep background in design will help assure his work communicates effectively, and his willingness to constantly expand his skillset keeps him on the razor’s edge of technology. Add to this his easy-going demeanor, and total willingness to share with his fellow students (and instructors!), and you have a winning package. I highly recommend Brad Nesseth for any of your motion graphics needs…whether for film, video, web/mobile or any combination of them!” March 19, 2010
